The Lord Somerset Clubhouse is the social hub of The Somerset – a stylish, spacious entertainment area designed for social interaction and relaxation. The Clubhouse Restaurant also boasts bar facilities and is available to cater for private functions.

Recently one of our residents – Averil Murray, celebrated a special birthday and decided to host a get together for friends and family at The Lord Somerset Clubhouse Restaurant.

Averil writes:

“As our family all live overseas, I am very fortunate to have one son living nearby who was an incredible help in planning the events & attending. And many thanks also to Clinton for his very hard work in designing the birthday invites.

I was so fortunate to be able to have two birthday celebrations in our Clubhouse.

After looking around at various venues and quotes for food, none measured up to our own special Clubhouse with its spaciousness, high ceilings and decor especially now in COVID times.

I would so have loved to invite more, but really needed to keep numbers down.

Mike & I would really like to thank Amy and her team for their outstanding service. Amy was incredible; as was the service her team provided. As we hadn’t planned something like this before, I was able to make some suggestions but put it all into Amy’s very capable hands. Amy and her team did an amazing job.

We could not fault the little pastries, small cakes and a very scrumptious Birthday chocolate cake for my “Birthday High tea”.  And for the buffet evening, all we can say, it was equally as good as a 5*star hotel. All we got was compliments from our guests.

Thanks also to Nick, Lecia & Belinda for your part. The menus and little name place cards were perfect.  Thank you again Amy for your colour and design to match our invitations!”
