About Macadamia Care
Macadamia Care Centre offers its residents an unrivalled avenue to better retirement living. Through MacCare, you will receive only the best in care from world-class facilities and services.
MacCare offers a wide range of care options including assisted care in your own home.
While residents are encouraged and assisted to remain independent for as long as possible, sometimes residents are best housed in the Care Centre itself and are then provided with Attentive Care/Frail Care services by MacCare.
Not only is MacCare committed to the lasting well-being of the residents, and offers home-based care and companionship services to enable you to enjoy the lifestyle you want, the personalised care plans give you and your family the flexibility to choose the care services that best suit your needs – maintaining your independent lifestyle for as long as possible.
Basic care Services
Basic care services are available to all residents and are covered in the levy
An assessment is the process of evaluating your health needs and focuses on various factors. Wellness is not just about taking your blood pressure; it is about you as a whole person – physical, mental, and spiritual. We develop a personalised care plan by working with you to identify your needs – and determine how to best meet them. Where appropriate, we involve family, your doctor and other health professionals to create a plan tailored to your specific needs.
All units are equipped with state of the art emergency response systems linked to a 24/7 external control centre managed by an independent external organisation.
Should you require emergency help or hospitalization – at any time of day or night – we will support you until the professional first-responder arrives.
The care centre offers monthly clinic services in order to monitor your vital health indicators and to assist in developing your personalized care plan. In the event you require extra care (e.g. after hospitalization), each household is entitled to five days respite care in the care centre (per annum), at no charge. And should full-time admission to the care centre be necessary, residents of The Somerset receive a 15% discount on the published external rate.
