Flower Power Happy Hour at the Clubhouse

During the mid-1960s, a youth movement called “Hippies” emerged in the United States. Hippies were known for their long hair, colourful clothes, love for life, and freedom. They were also referred to as flower children, free spirits, indigo children, and bohemians. Listening to musicians like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, hippies promoted freedom, peace, and love. So, back in the day, people called hippies “hipsters” because they were seen as super “hip” or as we know it today: super “cool”. They were also referred to as the “flower power” because they wore flowers and handed them out during protests.

Western Province Caterers knows that the residents of The Somerset are super hip and decided to host a Flower Power Happy Hour. Our residents rose to the occasion and “rocked up” in the most awesome outfits.

Should you be ready to channel your inner hippie and join the “coolest” community in Somerset West, why not give us a call – we’re all about freedom and good vibes here.

Hake Goujons and a chip basket with a greek side salad and beef mince Lasagna with a greek salad and garlic rolls, were just groovy man!

Here’s to flower power & denim flares…
