The Seed of Hope Charity Winter Bazaar at The Somerset

Cape Town’s winter is famously unpredictable; one moment you’re basking in sunshine, the next you’re wrapped in mist and bracing for a fierce cold front. It’s no wonder we’re called the Cape of Storms! But at The Somerset, our residents do more than just prepare for the chill; they open their hearts to others.

This winter, our community rallied together for a blanket drive and fundraiser, supporting the residents of Sir Lowry’s Pass Village through The Seed of Hope Charity Winter Bazaar. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our residents, we delivered a mountain of blankets and warm clothing, bringing comfort and hope to those who need it most.

We are so proud of our caring community, whose compassion truly makes a difference. Together, we’re not just weathering the storms; we’re spreading warmth and planting seeds of hope all winter long.

Thanks to Feedem, our braai master wowed us with his skills, and the kitchen team prepared a mouthwatering feast for everyone to enjoy. To top it all off, residents raised a glass together with complimentary wine. Here’s to good food, great company, memorable moments in our vibrant community, and the incredible feeling of making a difference!

Our residents enjoyed toe-tapping tunes performed live by our very own ‘Vintage Dudes’. There’s nothing quite like the joy of making a difference together. Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped create such special memories!
